Arcosa Lightweight is searching for a Senior Production Worker for our Livingston, AL plant. In this role you will support a positive safety culture by directing the activities and staff within a 24/7 aggregate environment that is regulated by MSHA safety standards. As a Senior Production Worker, you will be part of the production team to make our products. Arcosa Lightweight is a leading producer and distributor in the Western and Southwestern U.S. of lightweight and natural aggregates, including expanded shale and clay, crushed stone, sand and gravel, asphalt rock, and other products. What You Will Get: Competitive hourly pay Opportunity for annual performance increases 401k program with employer matching Health insurance · Dental & vision Insurance Paid life insurance Paid short term disability Paid vacation and sick time 11 paid holidays What You'll Do: • Comply with all industry safety rules, procedures and applicable government regulations • Perform tasks assigned in a safe and effective manner • Maintain the bowl mill and cooler area • Perform all necessary work area inspections and document discrepancies. This includes any heavy equipment checklist/inspections • Be able to operate front end loader • Run clinker pile and spec material clay shed via front end loader • Close off spec doors to coolers • Haul stack dust once a shift • Remove logs from cooler • Oil bowl mills • Fill and maintain coal hopper • Maintain reversible belt • Perform all task in a safe manner which includes wearing proper personal protective equipment and follow safety regulations established by this company • Perform other duties as required • Keep water level pumped down at eight belt • Run clinkers for the screening and crushing department • Grease and inspect crusher screens in finishing plant • Help clay feed attendant to keep clay chopped in clay shed • Run sweeper to keep concrete clean, washing of scrubber slabs • Assist in turning and replacement of hammers in crusher • Drive dump truck during cleanup of spillage in plant • Maintain the operation of the cooler reversible belts which includes keeping tail pulleys clean and keeping water on belts when needed • Maintain the operation of the coal mills which include maintaining proper oil levels, water circulation through coal mills, grease appropriate areas when needed and keeping coal area clean • Maintain the operation of cooler drives and keep area around the coolers clean • Keep tail pulley and catwalk cleaned on stockpile belts • Remove clinkers from cooler pits and stack in designated areas • Keep all above areas clean • Grease equipment in all areas of production What You'll Need: • Prompt, regular and predictable attendance • The ability to stand, stoop, bend, lift, walk, climb stairs, ladders and catwalks up to 60 feet as required and lift weights up to 60 pounds. • The ability to work in a varied outdoor environment (cold, hot, dry, dusty, rainy) • Remove logs from cooler • On the job training • Operating front end loader • Operate bobcat • Operate dump truck The above statements describe the general nature and responsibilities of the position.
