Job Description:

Southern Veterinary Partners (SVP) is a veterinarian owned and managed regional network of animal hospitals with the common goal of providing the highest quality veterinary care to companion animals. The Learning & Program Designer will help in the development of innovative learning solutions for the SVP teammates. The Learning & Program Designer will work with leadership to ensure that they have the skill sets to: use needed technology, including software programs and LMS functionality as well as plan, develop, create and update all learning and development training assets for SVP teammates. The Learning & Program Designer will be open to furthering skills sets, filling skill gaps, and collaborating with the Sr. Learning Experience Designer around instructional design work, as well as aligning with the Programs Manager around curriculum development needs. Supervisory Responsibilities: - Help the Sr. Learning Experience Designer with projects for the learning experience design. Duties/Responsibilities: - Serves as an ambassador of our culture, live and exemplify our values within self and team. - Collaborates with the Program Manager around learning solutions for all business units. - Innovates and follows cutting edge technology to continue to champion and advance SVP's learning solutions. - Helps create, organize,and plan various forms of onboarding, orientation, skills and leadership training for teammates. - Collaborates to develop innovative and unique learning curriculum and training programs to fulfill workers' specific needs to maintain or improve job skills. - Helps in the creation of training using scripts, scenarios, procedure manuals, guides, job aids, video, eLearnings, burst learnings, and other course materials. - Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in instructional design, and innovative learning solutions. - Performs other related duties as required. Requirements Skills/Abilities: - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks at one time, quickly and accurately shifting attention between tasks. - Design skills with a variety of software programs, and understanding of multimedia training platforms and methods. - Ability to evaluate learning solutions, and incorporate new, innovative approaches to advance the learning effectiveness. - Ability to create and update innovative and effective learning curriculum content. - Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software. Education and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Curriculum Development, Education, Business Management, Organizational Development or Project Management preferred, or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. - Four years' experience in instructional design, curriculum development, project management, or education. - Knowledge of principles and processes for measuring and evaluating programs and individual effectiveness and developing corrective actions, preferred. - Knowledge of formal methodologies for project management, preferred. - Prefer health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.). Physical Requirements: - Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. - Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
