ROLE: Accounting Clerk
COMPENSATION: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Associate's Degree (or higher) in Accounting or another business related field
  • 1-2 years accounting/finance experience (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
DESCRIPTION: Our company is searching for an energetic and reliable Accounting Clerk to work directly with the accounting and finance department. The Accounting Clerk would be responsible for a variety of clerical and administrative duties, including:
  • providing assistance with accounts receivable and accounts payable accounting functions;
  • providing support with client invoicing and assisting with the tracking of invoice payments;
  • cross-training on processing payroll and scheduling direct deposits;
  • preparing customer statements and following-up on past due payments;
  • assisting with the tracking and renewing of professional licenses for employees and the business;
  • interacting with employees that have questions regarding pay stubs and benefits and researching problems and attain answers from the VP of Finance and communicate back to the employee;
  • assisting with employee benefit enrollment by entering applications in benefits systems;
  • updating employee changes in the benefits systems;
  • performing multiple tasks including a combination of answering telephones, bookkeeping, typing or word processing, office machine operation, and filing;
  • assisting with tracking and organizing of client contracts;
  • preparing subcontract and vendor documents for review and approval;
  • tracking execution and fling of client contracts and subcontract and vendor contracts; and
  • performing other related duties as assigned.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must have a valid driver's license and good driving record.
  • No teleworking options
  • Not eligible for employment sponsorship.
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at a time
