Summary:

Managed within the Treasury Management Operations group, the Wire Transfer Specialist is responsible for processing ALL wire transfer activity using various systems daily.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Performs a variety of daily tasks relating to wires and other functions associated with the Department; review reports, prepares correspondence, and reconciliation.
  • Types, transmits, and receives wire transfer request and can perform work at a high level of volume without sacrificing quality.
  • Responds to bank personnel to ensure that escalated customer inquiries and issues are researched and addressed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintains an understanding of the Federal Regulations that govern Wire Transfer transactions to minimize/eliminate potential loss to the Bank.
  • Must operate with little supervision based on thorough knowledge and application of the Wire Transfer procedures of the assigned position, and the ability to independently perform other duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • HS graduate, some college preferred
  • 1 to 3 years of banking experience required, Wire Transfer experience preferred
  • Solid technology skills, including intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentially
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail to maintain accuracy and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to apply proper policies, procedures, and guidelines to determine and prevent fraudulent activity
  • Ability to be flexible with the changing needs of schedules and work hours dependent on volume and needs of the business
