All qualified individuals are encouraged to apply, including individuals with disabilities and Protected Veterans.The Blend and Shade Tech Lead is responsible for ensuring all areas of Operational Excellence area are achieved and maintained in the Blend and Shade Operation. This position is responsible for ensuring component materials are properly filled and color matched according to specification. This includes acquiring as near to perfect color matches for customer standards and producing adequate amounts of paint products to satisfy production schedules, meet customer demands and satisfaction in a safe manner. Major Tasks Include: Assure employees are fully trained and compliant with ISO procedures. Assist in investigation of quality alerts and filling problems; work to identity corrective actions. Write QAR's as required. Observe the department for safe acts and conditions ensuring prompt corrective action if needed. Maintain accountability for adherence to all HSE procedures and housekeeping. Complete all housekeeping and monthly safety audits in a timely fashion. Schedule workload for shift and ensure daily schedule is met. Make certain all equipment failures/issues are documented, communicated, and corrected so as to not interrupt the manufacturing schedule. Assure employees are effectively scheduled and fully utilized. Order department supplies/assures supplies are used conservatively. Handle hazardous waste as part of manufacturing operations, maintenance, raw material handling, and clean up activities, in order to protect personnel, property and the environment. Follow established safety rules and procedures. Perform all duties as assigned and directed by supervision or management Basic Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age Must have the legal right to work in the country of employment without needing sponsorship now or in the future for employment visa status Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate in English Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work Must be able to work overtime with or without reasonable accommodation Must have at least one (1) year of experience working with machinery in a manufacturing environment The successful candidate must also pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screen. Preferred Qualifications: Past supervisory/leadership experience An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree, pursuing a degree, or willingness to pursue a degree Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) Competencies: Proven customer service, adaptability, and communication skills Proven ability to partner with others and earn their trust to ensure meeting the team's goals.
