Title School of Medicine - Open Rank - Director of Pediatric Interventional Radiology Assignment Category Full-Time Rank Open Rank Payroll Status Faculty 12 Job Description The Department of Radiology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham ( UAB ) is seeking a full time pediatric interventional radiologist to serve as the Director of Pediatric Interventional Radiology. This individual should have fellowship training in pediatric (or combined adult and pediatric) interventional radiology, have experience in a pediatric interventional radiology practice, and have interest in serving in a leadership role of an established children's practice. The interventional radiology group at UAB provides services and oversight at the University Hospital and Children's of Alabama, as well as adult and pediatric outpatient clinics. All of these facilities exist on one campus, contributing to excellent and convenient multidisciplinary care. The UAB Department of Radiology consists of 109 faculty members, including 17 physicists and PhD researchers. The division of interventional radiology has eight full time faculty, four physician assistants, and all interventional radiology residency training pathways. The ideal candidate will actively participate in teaching, research, and service as well as in collaborating with other departments. Qualified applicants will hold an American Board of Radiology Certificate of Advanced Qualification in Interventional Radiology CAQ or have CAQ eligibility. Academic rank and tenure status will depend on qualifications and experience.
