RN Educator in our Ortho Surgery Dept!
Full-time ; Monday- Friday - Days
The Andrews Sports Medicine & Orthopaedic Center has built a
worldwide reputation for excellence in sports medicine, orthopaedic
patient care, research, education, and prevention. This
state-of-the-art surgical facility boasts 16 operating suites,
designed exclusively for orthopaedic surgeries which is a concept
pioneered by co-founder Dr. James R.
What You Will Do:
Assesse, plan, implement and evaluate
educational activities planning for an assigned service or
What You Will Need:
- Collaborate with nurse managers and staff to assess learning
needs and competencies.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate educational plans/programs and
utilizes methods, measurements and tools to evaluate achievement of
- Identify and/or develop teaching tools and instructional
- Keep records of educational activities and prepares
Licensure / Certification /
- Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credentialed
from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or
job transfer date.
- Advanced Life Support credentialed from the American Heart
Association (AHA) preferred.
- Educator specializing in Basic Life Support credentialed from
the American Heart Association (AHA) preferred.
- Educator specializing in Advanced Cardio Life Support
credentialed from the American Heart Association
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing
- At least 5 years of surgery nursing experience. Must be
computer literate familiar with Excel spreadsheets and gmail. At
least a year working in a leadership/preceptor role strongly
preferred. Must be flexible to assist with meetings and
interviewing within the department.
