Position: Registered Nurse (RN) Float

Location:  St Vincent's St Clair, Pell City, Al

Department:   Nursing Administration 001

Shift Details:  Full-Time – Days - 3-12-hour shifts per week - (6a-6p and 7a-7p depending on department) will be required to float between ICU/Med Surg/ED

St. Vincent’s St. Clair hospital is in Pell City, AL.   It is a 40-bed medical surgical and ICU hospital and a 12-bed Emergency Department right off Interstate 20 between Birmingham and heading towards Atlanta, GA.

What You Will Do:

Provide direct nursing care in a diverse healthcare environment in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

• Implement and monitor patient care plans. Monitor, record and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's care needs with members of the healthcare team.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30  days) of hire date or job transfer date.
• Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing required.

Additional Preferences:

Two (2) years RN experience preferred. Prior work experience in Medical/Surgical, ICU and ED setting preferred
