Come join us at St. Vincent’s St. Clair as our Emergency Room Patient Care Technician  

 

Position: Patient Care Tech, (PCT)

Department: Emergency Department

Location: St. Vincent’s St. Clair – Pell City, AL

Shift: 1pm- 9pm 5 days per week rotating every other weekend.

Ascension St. Clair has a 12 bed Emergency Department. We offer 24-hour emergency care services for a variety of critical medical conditions, illnesses and injuries. We are a level 3 Stroke Center. Our staff work as a team to ensure the best care is provided for our patients. St. Clair is a small community hospital and we strive to provide excellent care and genuinely care about our co-workers and patients.

What You Will Do:

Perform basic clinical and non-clinical patient care activities under supervision.

• Aid with movement and placement of patients.
• Assist patients with tending to personal care and activities of daily living.
• Report findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to nursing staff. Document necessary records.
• Keep patient rooms clean, orderly, and maintain medical equipment.
• Perform emergency department specific care/duties as assigned within scope of job.

What You Will Need:

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

• High school diploma or GED required.
