This means that they are responsible for maintaining a positive & helpful demeanor in all of their communicative efforts.Job Description/Responsibilities: This position will be responsible for the following:Records insurance information and obtains pre-approval for treatment if needed.Updates all quality assurance errors and warning in Accu Reg workque.Keeps paper and electronic medical records, and updates these records as needed.Promotes patient and physician satisfaction through proactive administrative services collaborates with physician/office to ensure a seamless delivery of patient access activities.Maintained current knowledge of insurance/government regulations, patient access policies and procedures utilized within the organization.Assists patients during check-in and checkout, and ensures all demographicsObtains liability due from Accu Reg, accepts funds, and credits accounts accordingly in the Patient Co system.Collects all necessary patient, demographic, and insurance information/documentation, guarantor and financial information to ensure a patient is completely registered within Meditech.Completes Patient Access Services Training curriculum and must consistently meet department quality and production standards. QualificationsRequired: High School Diploma or equivalent.Preferred:2 years of experience in a patient access, healthcare revenue cycle.
