The Patient Account Representative is responsible for managing accounts with delinquent balances, communicating professionally with patients, updating records with the patients financial status. Essential Functions:Research the best method for receipt of payments and take payments by credit card or other methods over the phone.Provide thorough, efficient, and accurate account updates in the computer files.Provide feedback to management regarding possible problems and areas of improvement.Answer a variety of patient phone calls while providing excellent customer service and handling inquiries in a timely and professional manner.Identify and resolve patient grievances and/or disputes.Knowledge of insurance eligibility, verification, denials and processes.Place phone calls to collect outstanding balances. Clean up accounts by moving money, posting OTC payments to each line item, removing credits under $15.00 and adjust balances under $1.00.Company Provided Benefits: Competitive pay with performance-based merit increases.
