1st shift - $16 pr hr Monday - Friday 6:00 am - 2:30 pm2nd shift - $16 pr hr + $1 shift differential Monday - Friday 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm
A Brief Summary of This Position: Valmont is currently seeking a motivated, hard-working individual for the General Laborer position in our Production department. We are looking for a team player that will be able to learn and complete a variety of tasks as needed within the plant. A go getter that requires minimal micro management.
Essential Functions:
----------------- Work in hot, cold or rainy environment
----------------- Wear full PPE at all times while on the floor - steel toed boots w/met guards, hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, work pants/jean, long sleeves, high viz vest.
----------------- Be able to learn and apply training
----------------- Clean and finish product using hand tools and/or power tools according to specifications
----------------- Rig/hang parts using wire to prep for galvanizing
----------------- Mask and tape parts for the Corrocoting process
----------------- Be willing to cross train in other jobs/areas
----------------- Be a Team Player assisting in other areas of the plant as needed
----------------- Complete paperwork
----------------- Assist in general plant clean up and housekeeping
----------------- Be able to lift up to 50lbs
----------------- Be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, squat, reach, push, pull, hold, grasp for various amounts of time
----------------- Work safely, protecting self and others from accident and injuryWhat it takesRequired qualifications of Every Candidate (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
----------------- The ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision
----------------- The ability to learn and apply training--
----------------- The ability to be flexible within the plant
----------------- The ability to use hand tools and/or power tools
----------------- The ability to lift up to 50 pounds
----------------- The ability to work in an outside environment
----------------- The ability to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, push, pull, squat, hold, grasp for various amounts of time
----------------- The ability to communicate problems or needs to lead or supervisor Highly qualified candidates will also possess:
----------------- Minimum six months experience using hand tools
----------------- Minimum six months experience using power tools----
----------------- Minimum six months experience in a manufacturing environment
----------------- The ability to communicate and interact with coworkers in a positive manner
----------------- The ability to pay attention to detail and follow work instructions
----------------- Must have a high awareness for safety at all times
