What you will do The main OR at St. Vincent’s is a state-of-the-art surgical facility boasts 16 operating suites and performs 45 – 50 procedures each day. Common surgical procedures include: robotic, ENT, gynecological, neurological, vascular, open heart, colorectal, plastic, and urology. While St. Vincent’s is not a trauma hospital, it is one of the first community hospitals to have the da Vinci® Surgical System robot.    As a Team Lead in the OR , you will have the opportunity to lead the daily operations of surgical suites in support of surgical procedures.   Key Responsibilities: Leads and coordinates shift operations including schedules and resources. Prepares surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile instruments and supplies. Assists surgeons during surgery, providing required and requested instruments and supplies to surgeon and assisting with hemostasis. Assists with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping patients. Maintains instruments in an organized manner and monitors and tracks instruments counts throughout procedures. Performs staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provides input to staff performance evaluations. What You Will Need Licenses/Certifications/Registration: Required Credential(s): BLS Provider obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Florida Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: Diploma  High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required Work Experience: 1 year of experience required.
