At P&S Transportation, supporting our drivers is our main priority. We are looking for a Service Writer to manage service needs for our drivers with the local maintenance shop. A Successful Safety Lane Inspector:

• Must consistently demonstrate the company s Mission and Values.
  
• Must have good oral and written communication skills in order to effectively interact with customers, drivers and other team members in person, email, and on the telephone.
  
• Must be customer service-oriented as well as team-oriented and must have good organizational skills.
  
• Must be able to effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  inspect assets at their assigned terminal location.
  
• Primary job function is performing safety lane inspection as drivers arrive or leave terminal location. They will communication the needed action to the driver and to the service writer.
  
• Will fill in as need as a service writer/ part specialist.
  
• Once a month assist with inventorying the parts room.
  
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule when needed to including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
  Job Requirements:
  
  • Inspect units arriving on site and departing for DOT issues
    
  • Work in the outdoor environment
    
  • Advise Drivers of the required repair
    
  • Communicate through email, work order, and verbal explanation
    
  • Assist the service writer
    
  • Communicate repair needs to obtain proper approval, for repairs, when needed
    
  • Assist with end of month inventory, as needed
    
  • Other duties as assigned
    Experience:
    
    • DOT inspections/ inspector
      
    • OTR support experience
      
    • Customer service
      Education:
      
      • Technical/other training beyond high school
        
      • High school or equivalent
