We are looking for a Consulting Systems Engineer to join our Global Enterprise Sales team. Why should you join Global Enterprise Sales?As a Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE), you will be partnering with Client Managers to provide the technical Pre-Sales work for our Fortune 500 customers across the utility industry. No two days will be the same as our broad offerings include Infrastructure Modernization, Multi-cloud Architecture, Security Transformation and Digital Strategy among others. With our Advanced Technology Center (https://www.wwt.com/atc) at your fingertips for briefings, training, workshops, demos and POC's you'll be delivering best in class results for your customers. What will you be doing?The Consulting Systems Engineer (CSE) role will bring technical Pre-Sales experience to our customers within local markets. Day to day responsibilities will include participation in customer sales meetings, presentations, white board sessions and custom technical design work. The CSE will team with a local Utility Industry Client Managers to build customer relationships, partner with multiple OEM's and take part in technical training to provide continued value to the customers. Technical expertise expansion is highly encouraged as you look to learn about new areas of interest and be on the forefront of cutting edge technologies. This position will require the ability to travel up to 50%. Responsibilities:

  • Technical Pre-Sales systems engineering
  • Becoming trusted advisor to key technical stakeholders at supported clients
  • Serve as the technical liaison to all supported East Region Utilities clients
  • Assist in developing Statements of Work, Division of responsibility, Proofs of Concept and Bills of Material
  • Network design and architecture
  • Attend business appointments with Account teams
  • Estimate labor hours for Professional Services work
    Required Qualifications:
    • Candidates must live in and/or near an East Region market
    • 8+ years of Networking, 2+ years of Pre-Sales experience, and 2+ years Electric Utility experience.
    • Experience supporting enterprise network environments, ideally at larger Enterprise companies
    • Strong experience with multiple of the following disciplines: System Integration, Collaboration, Route/Switch, Unified Communications, Wireless, Security, Data Center, and Storage
    • Ability to travel up to 50%
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, product demonstration skills, customer service skills, and presentation skills are required.
    • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required Desired Qualifications:
      • Existing relationships with one or more large Investor Owned Utilities in the East Region
      • Understanding and experience with NERC CIP
      • Previous experience with Cisco, Dell, Nokia, Ericsson, Palo Alto Networks, HP/HPE, VMware, Aruba
      • Previous experience with substation, Advanced Metering and Field Area Network (FAN) communications **WWT has a vaccine requirement for all of its U.S. workforce.
