Job Posting: The Electrical Engineer role is based in Leeds, AL and
reports directly to the Maintenance Manager. Heidelberg Materials

locations with approximately 9,000 employees in the U.S. and
Canada. This position is responsible for maintenance and project
development for the electrical system. In addition, the Electrical
Engineer is responsible for reducing electrical costs and improving
equipment reliability. What you'll get to do --- Provide guidance
to electricians and trades helpers in the repair, maintenance, and
installation of electrical and control systems --- Ensure the
operational viability of the plant by evaluating and maintaining
the proper functioning of all electrical and control systems ---
With the Maintenance Planner, design and coordinate corrective
maintenance projects --- Design and implement electrical
engineering projects --- Coordinate and supervise contractors for
electrical projects --- Support and consult plant management in the
field of electrical engineering for optimization of plant operation
--- Maintain records and update technical documentation and
drawings --- Provide ongoing maintenance support to the plant for
all shifts by participating in the plant's on-call program which
involves evaluating and determining the course of action for
maintenance incidents after hours and on weekends, at times
requiring on-site supervision of the resolution Essential
Experience and Skills --- Bachelor's degree in Electrical
Engineering --- At least 3 years of electrical engineering
experience --- At least 2 years of experience in heavy
manufacturing --- Strong project management skills --- Proficient
with Microsoft Office --- Fluent with NEC, NFPA, and ISA --- CAD
software --- Familiar with PLC/DCS and HMI architecture --- Good
familiarity with the operation and maintenance of common electrical
equipment such as power distribution system, breakers, high voltage
system, air condition and pressurization systems, variable speed
medium voltage drives/motors, transformers, switchgear, MCC
equipment and power monitoring and communication systems ---
Thorough understanding of system analytical studies including short
circuit, coordination, load flow, motor starting, and arc flash ---
Understanding of financial justification for projects including
EVA, IRR, and NPV Preferred Experience and Skills --- Cement
manufacturing experience --- Cemat S7 --- SAP Work Environment ---
Role operates in a manufacturing environment with moving mechanical
equipment, inclement weather, heat, humidity, elevated noise
