Job Description:

Reliant Media is currently seeking a Level 1 Low Voltage - Audio Visual Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low-voltage and audio-visual systems for commercial and residential customers. You will work under the supervision of a lead technician and receive on-the-job training to further your skills.
Responsibilities:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low-voltage and audio-visual systems
• Pull and terminate wiring for data, voice, audio, and video networks
• Install and configure audio and video equipment, including projectors, displays, and sound systems under the supervision of a T2-3 technician.
• Test and diagnose system issues, and provide solutions to ensure optimal performance
• Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment
  Required Experience / Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid US Driver's License
  • Basic computer/smartphone experience
  • 1-2 years of experience in low voltage or audio-visual installations (preferred but not required)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and networking concepts
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and blueprints
  • Proficiency in using hand and power tools
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions
    Other Requirements of the job:
    • Ability to wear proper PPE based on the requirements of job sites
    • Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 75lbs
    • Ability to travel between job sites, when required, via company vehicle
    • Ability to work 1 to 2 hours away from Birmingham when needed
    • Ability to stay in company provided lodging if needed to work multiple days an hour or more away from Birmingham
    • Ability to use company provided Macbook to meet job needs as required
    • Ability to pass background check, drug test, motor vehicle report, etc.
      Work Schedule for an Installation Technician:This position typically works 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with some flexibility depending on the job site (pre-existing or new) as well as construction site scheduling requirements occasionally. There is also the opportunity to work overtime from time to time.
