Job SummaryAs a strategic member of a highly collaborative organization, the field service technician will be responsible for installing equipment and investigating and solving customers' technical problems. During this internship, time will be spent at the in-house automation shop, prepping orders for shipment. This internship prepares technicians for the full-time role of an Instrumentation and Controls Service Technician. -Responsibilities and Duties

• Calibrate Field Instrumentation
• Stroke and Troubleshoot Instrumentation and automated valve packages
• Perform Loop Checks
• Earn customer trust
• Attend factory trainings on products to be serviced -Qualifications and Skills
  • Be located in Baton Rouge
  • Pursing Associate's degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
  • Must be familiar with basic Instrumentation (level, flow, pressure, and temperature transmitters)
  • Must have a basic understanding of PLC and DCS systems
  • Familiar with AC/ DC power and 4/20 ma outputs - -
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to calculate figures such as discounts, interest, commissions, etc.
  • Ability to solve practical problems
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of this job: stand, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, move up to 50 pounds, etc.Benefits
