Job Description:
Responsibilities: Pylon Building group has an exciting
opportunity for a Project Manager to support the construction
projects of our growing company. Responsibilities and Essential
Duties include the following (other duties may be assigned):
Review and finalize project business
plan for submission to company senior managementWork with field
management to generate job-specific safety plan for the
projectServe as the main point of contact for the Owner, Engineer
and ArchitectCreate staging, logistics, and phasing plan for
projectLead coordination of subcontractorsSet up bonding and/or
Subguard, change order log, and cost tracking measures for the
projectManage subcontractor default insurance/risk mitigation plan
for project.Oversee project startup (permits, licenses, jobsite
mobilization)Obtain Builders Risk, general liability insurance and
bonding as required for compliance with prime contractWork with
Pre-Construction and Field Supervision to identify and implement
all contract deliverables, quality testing, and reporting
requirementsFacilitate subcontractor pre-mobilization/startup
meetingsIssue and administer subcontracts and purchase ordersAssist
in development, planning, and updating of overall project schedule.
Attend/direct regular job schedule meetingsCreate and monitor
project quality control requirementsConduct bi-weekly safety
surveys with project superintendentPrioritize, review and expedite
submittalsEstablish project schedule of values, billing and payment
application requirements with accounting and ownerUnderstand
quantity updating and work with Superintendents to maintain
accurate labor forecastsDevelop and administer owner, subcontractor
and purchase order change ordersReview and approve
material/equipment invoices according to project budgetPrepare
payment requests and monitor collectionsReview projections, labor
reports, safety documents and schedules on a monthly basisReview
and estimate project contract changes (drawing revisions, ASIs,
contract change directives) and coordinate with project delivery
requirementsMeet with city and state agencies to review project and
inspectionsLead OAC meetings and create monthly status
reportsCreate monthly financial projections for project and review
with division managementManage and oversee job close-out
documentation and procedures (closeout documents, final job report,
and final accounting).Mentor and train Assistant Project Managers
and Co-Op/Intern Students Education, Skills, Knowledge,
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelors degree in construction,
engineering, or related fieldMinimum of 7 to 10 years of
construction experienceAbility to act as a lead and stand-alone
project manager on assigned jobs Experience managing all aspects of
construction projects including architectural, civil, structural,
mechanical and electricalAbility to manage multiple projects and
successfully prioritize competing deadlines for all projects
assigned Working knowledge of construction softwares such as
Procore Basic working knowledge of financial accounting
systemsExcellent oral communication and interpersonal
skillsTechnical writing skillsConflict resolution skills and
experience successfully resolving disputesSuperior organizational
skillsAbility to multitask successfully The above description
