1stNaphCare has an excellent opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join our team at the corporate office in Birmingham, Alabama. The Staff Accountant assists the finance department in creating accurate and timely financial records for the organization. The Staff Accountant is also responsible for researching and analyzing accounts, general ledger accounting, and preparing financial reporting and statements. The ability to communicate, function efficiently under pressure and problem-solving abilities are essential to this role. Performance Expectations: Gathers and analyzes information from the general ledger system and other departments. Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes. Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data. Examine accounting records, including financial statements and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to standards defined within the department. Review records of accounts and input entries into proper accounts Develops, implements, and maintains proper keeping of financial records, making use of current technologies.
Performance Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required. 1-3 years of accounting experience required. Auditing experience a plus.
