North Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center LLC is currently
seeking an Assistant ED Executive Director / Assistant
Administrator. North Hill Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is a
long term facility and is located in Birmingham, AL. This is an
Assistant Executive Director full-time position offering a very

Executive Director / Assistant Administrator position requires an
active Alabama Licensed Nursing Home Administrator license. Please
do not apply without current LNHA license _ DUTIES of Assistant
Executive Director / Assistant Administrator: _ Assists the ED in
managing facility operations. May assist in setting priorities and
job assignments, communicating policies, evaluating performance,
coaching, and disciplining as needed. Acts in the role of Executive
Director as needed with limited or full authority, as appropriate.
Assists Executive Director with conducting regular rounds to ensure
resident needs are being addressed. Monitors operations and
appearance of assigned departments. Maintains a working knowledge
and ensures compliance with all governmental regulations and
company Quality Assurance standards. Supports and assists the
Executive Director in monitoring employee relations and ensuring
compliance with employment laws and company policies. Promotes
practices that maintain high morale and staff retention; including
effective communication, prompt problem resolution, and positive
reinforcement. Manages turnover and ensures adequate staffing
through development of recruitment sources, and through appropriate
selection, orientation, training, and staff education. Supports and
assists the Executive Director in management of facility budgets
and business practices to include labor costs, payables and
receivables. Monitors business office activities to ensure
procedures and standards are followed. Supports and assists the ED
in developing and implementing a marketing strategy for the
facility that reflects service opportunities, competition,
potential market area changes, and which maximizes census, payor
mix, and ancillary revenues. Leads and monitors key marketing staff
and plays an active role in carrying out the marketing plan.
Develops positive relationships on behalf of the company with the
government regulators, families, area health care community, and
the community at large. Interacts with residents, family members,
co-workers, clinical and ancillary staff in a non-judgmental,
supportive, and calm manner. Addresses family satisfaction issues
immediately and assists in resolving the matter in a professional
manner. Assists the Executive Director in ensuring the building and
grounds are properly maintained and that equipment and work areas
are clean, safe, and orderly. Ensures any hazardous conditions are
addressed; ensures Universal precautions and infection control,
isolation, fire, safety, and sanitation practices and procedures
are followed. QUALIFICATIONS: Possesses a four (4) year Bachelor's
Degree in a related field. Maintains a current, valid Alabama
Nursing Home Administrator's License. Demonstrates knowledge of age
specific developmental factors specific to adult and geriatric
residents (i.e. physical, cognitive, and socialization factors) in
directing the overall operation of the facility's delivery of care.
Possesses a minimum one (1) year applicable management or
comparable experience in a long-term care setting. Possesses strong
knowledge regarding state, federal, and local regulations as they
pertain to long-term care. Must be capable of performing the
essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable
accommodations. Must be able to communicate in English, both
verbally and in writing and possess sufficient communication skills
