Gifted Healthcare is actively seeking skilled and compassionate Stepdown Registered Nurses (RNs) for travel and local assignments in Birmingham, Alabama. In this position, you will work in units treating patients who require close monitoring and frequent assessment, but who are not stable enough to be transferred to a general medical-surgical ward. This opportunity is ideal for RNs looking to expand their experience in a supportive environment that fosters both professional and personal growth. Monitor and assess patient conditions and detect changes that require intervention. Administer prescribed medications and treatments meticulously. Operate and monitor medical equipment used to provide care. Educate and communicate with patients and their families about treatment plans. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations. Coordinate with healthcare team members to assess, plan, implement, or evaluate patient care plans. Ability to work in a high-stress environment Strong critical thinking skills Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and medical staff Detail oriented Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Alabama Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
